Berkhamsted Art Society

We’ve just had a lovely time walking around the Berkhamsted Art Society Spring Exhibition (26-28 May at the Civic Centre), discovering beautiful artworks and the local artists who made them.

The cards on sale are like art-works in miniature, perfect to give to a loved one or to frame.

Ceramics are included in the exhibition. Beautiful bowls, vases, goblets and owls here! We met ceramics artist Ian Jones on the day. Many of the exhibitors are on hand to talk to your about their processes and about the art society in general.

These framed pieces show the range of styles and mediums on display, all ready to hang on a wall at home.

Perhaps after all that, you are feeling inspired? Crispin Art Materials have a pop-up shop at the exhibition, so you can stock up on the vitals for your next creation!

The Berkhamsted Art Society Exhibition is free to attend and runs until 28 May 2023 at the Civic Centre. The society is made up of local artists and welcomes local artists of all abilities as well as those who have an interest in the arts to join its membership. The society have a busy programme to help you develop your knowledge and confidence, including talks, social meetings and classes (such as their summer classes on the practice of En Plein Air, which sound idyllic!)
