Things to do in Berkhamsted in April

Spring is officially here, and if the blossom trees don’t get you out of the house, these events surely will! Each one is happening in your local area of Berkhamsted and the surrounding villages in HP4 this April.  

Lady Nade in Little Gaddesden

Little Gaddesden Folk, Roots & Blues Club welcome the fabulous Lady Nade to the intimate and atmospheric Little Gaddesden Church. With nominations for Artist of the Year at the AMAUK Awards in 2023 and a Song of the Year win at the UK Americana Awards in 2022, Lady Nade stands as one of the UK’s most distinctive voices (25 April). 

Berkhamsted Baptist Church Fundraiser

This concert by the wonderful Gobstoppers Glee Club Choir will raise funds for the restoration of the leaded windows of the Grade 2 listed Berkhamsted Baptist Church. Tickets on the door (20 April).

Sylar Magic will astonish and entertain at Berkhamsted’s The Lounge by Graze Life this April.

Prepare to be wowed by Sylar Magic’s Show at Berkhamsted’s The Lounge by Graze Life. Having recently performed in Dubai, Sylar is sure to astonish and entertain! Before the show, indulge in some happy hour cocktails and The Lounge’s new spring/summer graze board menu (18 April). 

Terrarium Workshop with Hanako at Ashridge House

The floral experts at Hanako will show you how to create your own Terrarium.

Set in the historic Glasshouse, The Fernery, at Ashridge House, this workshop by the floristry experts at Hanako will teach you how to build your own terrarium – a living microclimate of beautiful foliage and plants (20 April).

Berkhamsted Gardeners’ Society Talk

Carrying on with the botanical theme… Berkhamsted Gardeners’ Society talk for April will be on The World of Plants. Join wildlife conservationist John Tyler as he explores plant life cycles and survival tricks, drawing on species that you can find in the local area (30 April).

Catch the final screenings from the Berkhamsted Film Society season: EO,the 2023 Oscar contender following the long and lonely journey of a circus donkey, by Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski (8 & 9 April); and Where the Crawdads Sing, based on the best-selling book of the same name, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones (22 & 23 April).
