‘Patchwork’ opens twice a year for the National Garden scheme. Traditional, labour intensive 1/4 acre garden on a sloping site, with many levels and views. Colourful tulips and narcissi in profusion, specimen azalea and rhododendron in full brilliant flower and other shrubs provide a feast of colour for the eyes. Seating and cover from the elements. Refreshments provided by Tring Lions Club. Dogs on leads welcome.
The National Garden Scheme (NGS) established in 1927, now with over 3,500 gardens, supports Marie Curie, Macmillan Cancer Support, Hospice UK, Carers Trust, The Queen’s Nursing Institute, Parkinson’s UK, and other caring and horticultural charities. £3.4million was donated in 2023.
