St Peter’s Church is joining together with the South Bucks Jewish Community (SBJC) for their celebration of the Jewish festival of Sukkot. At 5pm on Sunday 9th October a Sukkah (a booth or tent) will be decorated in St Peter’s churchyard, followed by Evensong at 6pm.
At the Sukkot service the SJBC will be collecting items of food for the Swan Youth Project and would welcome any donations of pasta, tinned tomatoes, beans, herbs, spices, rice, noodles, couscous, pesto, tomato puree, bread flour, sugar, tinned fruit, ready made jelly, oil, olive oil, salt, tea, coffee, hot chocolate.
We hope you will join us for this historic Jewish-Christian celebration. Whatever your faith, you are welcome at St Peter’s Berkhamsted.
